We are searching for a permanent Senior Labour & Employee Relations Advisor to join our Human Resources team.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across a highly unionized organization, providing expert guidance on labour relations, collective agreement interpretation, grievance management, workplace investigations, performance management, attendance management, accommodations, return-to-work planning, and organizational change.

We're seeking a seasoned labour relations professional with strong experience in unionized environments, including collective agreement administration, grievance resolution, arbitration support, employment legislation, and workplace investigations. You are a confident relationship builder who can influence leaders, collaborate effectively with union representatives, and provide practical solutions to complex employee relations issues.

During your first year, you will focus on building strong partnerships with leaders and union stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of the organization's labour relations environment, and establishing yourself as a trusted subject matter expert.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable navigating complex situations where priorities can shift. You bring sound judgment, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to support leaders in a fast-paced labour relations environment.

  • Position: Senior Labour and Employee Relations Advisor
  • Location: Hybrid- 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home depending on the needs of the department ( 4250 Canada Wy, Burnaby, BC V5G 4W6)
  • Compensation: PBC’s compensation program is built on a pay-for-performance philosophy, rewarding both individual and organizational achievements. The typical hiring range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, with the starting salary determined based on a combination of skills, education, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, you’ll be eligible for our annual bonus program.

You will build trusted relationships with leaders, employees, and union representatives while providing practical guidance on performance management, attendance, discipline, accommodations, and organizational change. Through your ability to coach, influence, and solve complex issues, you will play a key role in creating positive employee experiences and supporting the organization's long-term success.

Key Experiences You Bring To This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business with a major in Human Resources, or equivalent discipline.
  • 5 – 8 years of experience in a Labour Relations capacity, advising managers on all employee relations matters in a unionized environment including performance management, administrative and progressive discipline processes, grievance management, conflict resolution, and terminations.
  • Extensive knowledge of labour relations and related employment legislation and practice

It’s preferred and considered an asset if you have:

  • A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, or equivalent.
