About the Role

This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to one year of experience in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field. You'll work closely with our Account Executives and Account Directors to support media relations, influencer campaigns, events, research, and day-to-day client activities while developing the skills needed for a successful career in public relations.

Accountability

Supporting Account Executives and Account Directors with research, campaign execution, media and influencer engagement, reporting, and event coordination.

Authority

Executing assigned PR initiatives under the guidance of senior team members while taking ownership of day-to-day tasks and deliverables.

Reports To

Account Director and Account Executives.

What You'll Do

  • Support Account Executives and Account Directors on day-to-day client accounts.
  • Research Canadian media outlets, journalists, influencers, podcasts, and emerging industry trends.
  • Build and maintain media and influencer lists.
  • Draft media pitches, press releases, fact sheets, and other PR materials.
  • Conduct media monitoring and prepare coverage reports.
  • Track earned media and influencer placements using Blend PR's reporting platforms.
  • Ensure all secured coverage is accurately logged in KPI dashboards and tracking systems.
  • Coordinate product seeding with our Director of Logistics.
  • Assist in planning and executing media events, launches, and influencer experiences.
  • Coordinate media interviews and one-on-one meetings.
  • Build relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and influencers across Canada.
  • Monitor social media trends and identify new influencer opportunities.
  • Attend client meetings, agency meetings, in-office collaboration days, and events as required.

What We're Looking For

  • A university or college degree or diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Fully completed Internship experience, references required (min 4mo) or up to one year of experience in PR, communications, marketing, or media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys contributing ideas.
  • A genuine interest in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and consumer brands is a strong asset.
