Position Summary
The Game Night Content Administrators are part of the CFL digital content team responsible for executing the league’s vertical video strategy across the league website and mobile app with a primary focus on live game coverage. This role plays a critical part in delivering a dynamic, real-time content experience by ensuring vertical video feeds are timely, engaging, and reflective of the most important moments happening across the league.
The position requires availability during game nights, including evenings and weekends, and demands strong attention to detail, speed, and decision-making in a fast-paced, live sports environment.
Key Responsbilities
- Manage the league’s vertical video feeds across the website and mobile app during live games, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and real-time fan experience.
- Monitor live games and identify key moments (highlights, big plays, milestones, storylines) to quickly curate and publish vertical video content.
- Execute and oversee predetermined plans for game night coverage, ensuring feeds are properly populated across pregame, in-game, and postgame windows.
- Collaborate closely with content, social, and production teams to align on priority moments and ensure content is surfaced quickly and accurately.
- Support postgame content updates to ensure feeds remain fresh and relevant following the conclusion of games.
- Support the planning, drafting, coordination, and delivery of timely push notifications throughout live games, highlighting key moments, major plays, milestones, and other priority storylines in alignment with the league’s game night strategy.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1+ year of professional experience in live sports coverage.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for graphic design.
- Knowledge of video editing and formatting for social media platforms.
- Solid understanding of website, app, social media trends, platforms, and how to tailor content for each.
- Strong visual storytelling skills with a passion for sports.
- Sports fan with familiarity with football, particularly the CFL, considered an asset.
- Knowledge of journalism practices and social media marketing.
Expected Compensation
The expected compensation rate for this position is $125 per game worked. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position and should serve simply as a guide. The specific compensation offered may vary based on the number of games worked during the term.
Other Considerations
Work Schedule: Due to the nature of the business, the incumbent must be available and willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as required
Travel: As required
