In 2011, it was awarded the contract to the extension of a section of the Toronto subway expansion, the city's first modern subway infrastructure project. This project was completed in 2019.

Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations (PTUS)

FCC Canada, in a 50/50 joint venture with Webuild Civil Works Inc., will deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line. This includes the design, construction, supply, and operation of three kilometres of twin tunnels underneath Pape Avenue between the Gerrard tunnel portal and the Don Valley bridge, two underground stations (Pape and Cosburn), two tunnel portals, three emergency exit buildings, and a rail switch/crossover near Sammon Avenue.

The Pape Station connection will interface with the Toronto Transit Commission Line 2 subway and related works.

The project uses a Progressive Design-Build (PDB) model, allowing greater collaboration between the project owner and contractor.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Data Analyst (Co-op) to support the Quality Team in maintaining and enhancing project dashboards by integrating and analyzing data from GAASS and other sources. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving data visibility, supporting reporting processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the project through the use of Power BI and other analytical tools.

The Data Analyst (Co-op) will report to: Quality Assurance Manager

The Data Analyst (Co-op) Key Responsibilities Are

  • Support the Quality Team in updating and maintaining dashboards with data from GAASS and other systems
  • Assist in the development and optimization of Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into data solutions
  • Prepare and present clear, concise reports to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data insights and recommendation.

Education And Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Engineering (Civil, Industrial, or related), Data Analytics / Data Science, Information Systems / Computer Science, Or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (required)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables)
  • Understanding of data analysis and visualization principles
  • Basic knowledge of databases, SQL, or data modeling (asset)
  • Experience working with large datasets is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn

Salary Banding: $50,000
