About This Position
The Kamloops North Shore UPCC is a modern, team-based primary care clinic located in Northills Mall on Tranquille Road in Kamloops. The centre provides same-day urgent and primary care services for patients with non-emergency health concerns and serves residents of the North Shore and surrounding communities. The clinic operates seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., including statutory holidays, creating a dynamic and fast-paced ambulatory care environment.
In this role, the UPCC offers a Physiotherapist opportunity to practice as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating closely with family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, social workers, and mental health and substance use clinicians. Physiotherapists contribute to the assessment, treatment, and management of patients presenting with acute musculoskeletal conditions and functional concerns. You’ll have an important role in delivering timely assessments, promoting functional recovery, educating patients on injury prevention and rehabilitation, and supporting appropriate care pathways within the primary care setting. The collaborative model allows Physiotherapists to work to full scope while contributing to improved patient access and reduced pressure on emergency services.
Please note that this position will require a valid divers license, and travel to rural communities surrounding Kamloops. Re-deployment may be required based on operational needs.
