The Opportunity

As a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician, you will play a key role in keeping our oilfield service fleet safe, reliable, and ready for field operations. This position supports the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of light-duty and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and specialized oilfield equipment in a fast-paced shop environment.

Your Responsibilities

In alignment with Lifting Solutions’ culture, mission, vision, and values, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Apply strong mechanical proficiency and technical expertise while working in Lifting Solutions’ fast-paced mobile oilfield equipment repair, maintenance, and fabrication shop.
  • Perform CVIP inspections on the cab and chassis of light-duty and heavy-duty mobile equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform preventative and routine maintenance on our fleet of mobile oilfield trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide failure analysis of equipment problems and failures
  • Lead and/or participate in related safety or technical incidents and investigations
  • Remain current and compliant with all regulatory requirements related to your role.
  • Wear all required PPE as outlined by LSI and local regulating authorities
  • Other duties as assigned

This is a safety-sensitive role that may involve physically demanding work, shop-based repairs, exposure to oilfield equipment, and coordination with field operations. The successful candidate must be committed to safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and maintaining equipment to a high operational standard.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Alberta Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification or Interprovincial Red Seal certification is required.
  • A CVIP license and prior welding experience are considered strong assets. Candidates must be capable of obtaining required licensing after employment, if not already certified.
  • Previous well servicing industry experience, particularly in artificial lift and/or continuous rod handling, is considered an asset.
  • Minimum valid Class 5 driver’s license with a five-year driver’s abstract in good standing.
