Associate Lawyer

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse litigation practice, including civil litigation and family law matters
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, pleadings, applications, and correspondence
  • Draft court documents, agreements, and other legal materials
  • Attend examinations, hearings, mediations, negotiations, and court appearances
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Manage multiple files while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of call experience preferred
  • Litigation experience required, with a focus on civil litigation and/or family law
  • Law degree from an accredited Canadian law school or equivalent qualification
  • Member in good standing with a Canadian provincial law society
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy abilities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
