About The Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead (Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic) to join our growing operations in Grande Prairie, AB.
  • This is a hands-on leadership role that combines mechanical expertise with maintenance planning and team support.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and enhancing the maintenance function while ensuring fleet reliability and operational excellence.

Please note: Candidates must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Grande Prairie, AB. Relocation is a condition of employment.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Maintenance

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and testing to ensure equipment performance.
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations and safety standards.

Maintenance Leadership

  • Serve as the primary maintenance resource for the Grande Prairie operation.
  • Coordinate maintenance planning, scheduling, and workflow.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts inventory, and work orders using a CMMS.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors and service providers as required.
  • Support compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with operations, drivers, and field personnel.
  • Travel to field locations as required.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday (occasional weekend coverage as required)

Required Qualifications

  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Class 1 / CDL Licence.
  • Commercial Vehicle Inspection (CVI) Certification.
  • Experience with cryogenic equipment or cryogenic vessels.
  • Experience with maintenance management software (CMMS).
  • Experience working with air and electrical actuators.
