Crane Operator

Position Summary: Crane Operator performs operational work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, tally and delivery of products. Loads, unloads, dewaters products as per routing documents or supervisor instructions.

Principal Responsibilities

• Operates Crane. To operate proficiently, individual must operate consistently at or above target production levels.
• Operates Machine in a manner that prevents any damage to the wood.
• Completes daily inspection and maintenance report for assigned machine and identifies operational issues.
• Performs fueling and daily maintenance for assigned machine.
• Takes initiative to aid supervisors to make sure procedures are followed correctly.
• Participates and contributes to company safety program.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned by their supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work safely and efficiently.
• Good knowledge of machinery being used and ability to do daily equipment checks along with minor servicing and fueling.
• Knowledge of products being handled and product flow through the yard.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions from the supervisor or delegate.
• Record keeping and tracking of sales orders are required
• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license or equivalent

Shift: Alternate shifts including weekends will apply.
