Senior Full-Stack HealthTech Engineer

Keystone Health Revelstoke

Location: Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada (Remote / Hybrid - Strict Canadian Residency Required)

Industry: HealthTech / Medical Software

Employment Type: Contract (MVP Milestone with Long-Term Extension Potential)

About the Project & Position Structure

Keystone Health is building a groundbreaking, next-generation Clinical Decision Support System engineered to revolutionize private musculoskeletal and physical therapy healthcare models.

This is a Contractor position with an initial, laser-focused mandate: building and launching our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) baseline.

Our Interview & Scoping Process

  1. Phase 1: Initial technical and alignment screening.
  2. Phase 2: Qualified candidates will execute a legally binding Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
  3. Phase 3: Under NDA, we will provide full access to our comprehensive Technical Implementation Manual and deep-dive into the explicit technical scope of work.
  4. Phase 4: You will provide a formal statement of work quote outlining your required cost/rate structures and a projected milestone timeline to complete the initial MVP build.

Long-Term Horizon: While this contract initializes with the MVP release milestone, exceptional execution unlocks immediate potential to stay onboard as our core architectural leader for the entire program development lifecycle.

What You Will Build (MVP Focus Areas)

  • The Vault Infrastructure: Implement our secure, SQL-compliant relational health record database architecture to secure raw Protected Health Information (PHI) and EMR data structures.
  • Type-Safe Ingestion Gateways: Formulate strongly-typed runtime validation schemas (JSON-Schema or TypeScript interfaces) at the API gateway layer to securely handle multidimensional metric payloads.
  • Low-Latency Rendering Loops: Build the primary client-side user interface capable of rendering complex statistical distribution models and visual trajectory timelines in under 400ms.
  • Local Data Sanitization: Deploy strict security entry portals, multi-factor authentication loops, and local data-scrubbing scripts to sanitize all PHI prior to external cloud transit.
  • Multi-License Multitenancy Architecture: Separate billing administrative layers from therapist user profiles, implementing strict ratio constraints between licensing seats and therapist profile nodes.

What We Are Looking For (Technical Requirements)

  • Regulated Domain Expertise: 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience, specifically shipping production-ready systems within healthcare, fintech, or highly regulated, data-sensitive environments.
  • Database & API Architecture: Expert proficiency in relational SQL database design, type-safe backend scripting (TypeScript/Node.js or similar), and building resilient API gateways.
  • Data Visualization & Performance UI: Direct experience translating non-linear mathematical equations into interactive, fluid client-side charts or canvas components.
  • Compliance Foundations: Direct, practical knowledge of data privacy legislation and medical interoperability standards, specifically Canadian PIPEDA rules, federal Bill S-5 regulations, and HL7 FHIR Native structures.
  • Strict Canadian Data Residency & Sovereign Cloud Deployment: Extensive experience deploying multi-tenant applications scaled horizontally across localized cloud regions, strictly maintaining data residency within Canadian borders (e.g., AWS Canada Central). Mandatory Constraint: The contractor must work remotely from within Canada, and ensure that 100% of the project's data, software pipelines, and development tooling remain hosted entirely on Canadian servers throughout the duration of the contract.
  • First-Principles Mentality: A developer who aligns with our core ethos of deconstructing broken conventions, isolating foundational scientific or physical truths, and rebuilding clean solutions from the ground up.

Culture & Values Alignment

Keystone Health is a value-driven ecosystem designed to maximize long-term quality of life. We are looking for an engineering partner who respects and embodies our fundamental organizational values: Safety, Love, Growth, and Communication.
