Senior Territory Manager, Atlantic Canada

Our client is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed sales professional with a proven track record of success in medical device sales who is energized by developing new business, strengthening existing accounts, and delivering outstanding results in a competitive market.

The Senior Territory Manager is responsible for establishing and managing relationships of sales accounts in the assigned territory. They will identify, isolate, and pursue new customer acquisition, and conduct cold-calls for potential leads and convert to closed business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit customers or potential customers regularly and according to a planned schedule to promote the company’s products and services, with the goal of meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as agreed upon with the manager.
  • Under the general supervision of the manager, manage existing customers and acquire new ones within the assigned territory.
  • Following the manager’s general guidelines, plan and develop the market for current and new products in line with the division’s goals and objectives, while making optimal use of available tools (consignment, etc.).
  • Provide ongoing technical training and support to customers.
  • Build a broad range of business relationships with hospital leadership, purchasing departments, and hospital staff.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and trade shows as needed to promote products and services.
  • Analyze and report market and industry feedback to the manager or other stakeholders (on a monthly and annual basis) using all available support tools.
  • Develop professionally as a sales representative by gaining practical knowledge and sales techniques. Be able to handle various situations and possess general knowledge of the medical device sector.
  • Lead a medium-sized project team upon request.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, software, or consumer products.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business plans.
  • Proven ability to absorb technical and clinical knowledge, as well as product knowledge, and communicate it effectively to healthcare professionals at all levels.
  • Strong product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Maintains a positive attitude toward the job, teamwork, and representing the company’s image to our customers.
  • Good understanding of the hospital environment.
