RECE and TA's Required-New Child Care Centre Opening

Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre with 3 locations in Arnprior and Renfrew and 2 new centres opening in Pembroke. The Pembroke location is in a brand new building located beside Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School on Clemow Avenue in Pembroke, offering kindergarten and school age programs.

We require up to 15 Permanent Registered Early Childhood Educators or Teacher Assistants (one for the Kinder Program and one for the School Age Program) beginning around the beginning of August (date TBD) working approximately 37.5-40 hours per week, 7.5-8 hours a day. The rate of pay ranges from $19.73 to $23.52 per hour plus 4% holiday pay, dependent on qualifications. These hours have the ability to qualify for $2.00/hour WEG (Wage Enhancement Grant) as well and CWELCC top-up.

Requirements

For these newly created positions, ADCCS requires:

• Registered with the College of ECE if you apply for an ECE position
• Experience with young children
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C
• Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector
• Proof of up to date immunizations and ability to get note from a medical practitioner indicating good health
• WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates (we can help successful candidates secure these certificates)

Recommended

• Knowledge of CCEYA and HDLH

Considered An Asset

• Experience with children in a licensed childcare centre
• Experience with children with special needs
• Child centered educational background (RECE, DSW, etc)
