Vous jouerez un rôle essentiel dans la réalisation de projets de construction responsables et alignés sur les exigences environnementales. Dans ce poste, vous surveillerez les impacts environnementaux sur les chantiers, collaborerez avec les équipes de projet pour assurer la conformité aux règlementations municipales, provinciales et fédérales, et contribuerez à l’amélioration continue des pratiques de gestion environnementale de l’entreprise. Vous effectuerez des inspections, présenterez les constats aux entrepreneurs et orienterez les actions correctives afin de réduire les risques et d’améliorer la performance environnementale. Vous participerez également aux activités liées à la norme ISO 14001:2015, incluant les audits, les rapports et les initiatives de développement durable. Ce rôle vous permettra d’appliquer votre expertise technique à des défis de terrain concrets, d’influencer les décisions de projet et de contribuer activement à la protection de l’environnement à long terme.
Votre Impact
Surveiller les impacts environnementaux sur les chantiers et accompagner les équipes afin d’assurer le respect des règlementations et des standards internes.
Effectuer des inspections de chantiers, documenter les constats et recommander les mesures correctives aux entrepreneurs et gestionnaires de projet.
Participer aux réunions hebdomadaires de suivi avec l’entrepreneur, présenter les enjeux et assurer le suivi des correctifs.
Analyser les rapports des consultants en environnement et formuler des recommandations.
Soutenir le système de gestion environnementale et contribuer aux améliorations conformément à la norme ISO 14001:2015.
Participer aux audits internes, externes et légaux, tout en veillant à la résolution des non‑conformités.
Compiler, analyser et soumettre les rapports réglementaires et corporatifs dans les délais requis.
Assurer le suivi des échantillonnages et proposer des recommandations en fonction des résultats.
Contribuer aux objectifs de développement durable et aux évaluations de risques des nouveaux projets, en offrant un soutien technique sur les enjeux environnementaux.
Responsable de veiller au respect des règlementations, procédures et lignes directrices internes et externes applicables.
Votre Profil
Le candidat doit déjà détenir une autorisation de travail permettant de travailler pour Hitachi Energy au Canada.
Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en environnement, incluant une exposition aux projets de construction.
Connaissance des lois et règlements en environnement.
Maîtrise de la norme ISO 14001:2015 et connaissance de la norme ISO 45001.
Baccalauréat en sciences, environnement ou domaine connexe; une maîtrise en environnement est un atout.
Formation d’auditeur interne : un atout.
Capacité à communiquer efficacement et à promouvoir ses idées.
Aptitude à gérer les priorités et à exercer un jugement solide.
Maîtrise de l’anglais oral et écrit : un atout.

The Opportunity
You will play a key role in delivering environmentally responsible construction projects that meet regulatory requirements and sustainability objectives. In this role, you will monitor environmental impacts on construction sites, collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal regulations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization’s environmental management practices.
You will conduct site inspections, present findings to contractors, and recommend corrective actions to help mitigate environmental risks and improve overall project performance. You will also participate in activities related to the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, including audits, reporting, and sustainability initiatives.
This opportunity will allow you to apply your technical expertise to real-world field challenges, influence project decisions, and make a meaningful contribution to environmental protection and the long-term sustainability of our operations.
How You'll Make an Impact
Monitor environmental impacts on construction sites and support project teams in meeting regulatory and internal environmental requirements.
Perform environmental site inspections, document observations, and recommend appropriate corrective actions to contractors and project managers.
Participate in weekly follow-up meetings with contractors, communicate identified concerns, and track corrective action plans.
Review environmental consultant reports and provide recommendations.
Support the Environmental Management System and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in accordance with ISO 14001:2015.
Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audits while ensuring timely resolution of non-conformities.
Compile, analyze, and submit regulatory and corporate environmental reports within required deadlines.
Coordinate environmental sampling activities and provide recommendations based on results.
Contribute to sustainability objectives and environmental risk assessments for new projects by providing technical guidance and support.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in environmental management, including experience supporting construction projects.
Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
Proficiency with ISO 14001:2015 and familiarity with ISO 45001.
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field; a Master’s degree in Environment is considered an asset.
Internal Auditor training is considered an asset.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English is considered an asset.
