Marketing Communications Specialist

What you'll do
You are an integral part of TuGo’s content team and responsible for writing effective content, tools and resources that cohesively represent TuGo’s brand, products and services. You work with the Marketing Communications Team and key stakeholders to ensure corporate messaging positions TuGo as a top industry leader and socially-responsible organization. You also act as the primary operational contact for the Team’s day-to-day operations, as well as corporate projects, cross-functional teamwork and process management.
Specifically, you will:
- Write effective and engaging content for a variety of deliverables including but not limited to: corporate communications, blog posts, websites, promotional tools and newsletters.
- Ensure TuGo's standards and brand integrity for copy including spelling, grammar, punctuation and adherence to established corporate writing guidelines in line with TuGo Tone.
- Work closely with our Business Development, Business & Insurance Services, and Learning Centre Teams to develop marketing and training materials that engage partners and employees.
- Respond to email requests to the Marketing Communications Team.
- Work closely with Marketing Communications Manager to develop weekly resource allocation sheet and estimates to meet required deadlines, ensuring operations, corporate projects, business support and process improvement tasks are completed on time.
- Act as the Team’s subject matter expert for resource management and project management applications (primarily ClickUp), assisting all team members in utilizing the tool(s) to maximize their productivity and efficiency.
- Work with Marketing Communications Manager to manage the content and code of automated traveller-facing content, including fulfillment letters and emails.
- Produce and maintain Team’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work with the Creative Director to coordinate budget and production of promotional swag items from external vendors in time for trade show season.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings, taking notes and reporting back to the Team.

What you'll bring
- Degree or diploma in communications or marketing preferred
- 3+ years of experience in communications and/or marketing
- Excellent written and verbal English skills required
- Ability to articulate thoughts/ideas clearly and with commitment, always keeping the best customer experience in mind
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines, with flexibility to work additional hours if needed
- Proficient in MS Office365 and ability to learn applications quickly
- Proficiency in ClickUp or other work collaboration software is an asset
- Proficiency with TuGo’s Navigator application is an asset
- Knowledge of the insurance industry is an asset
- A passion for travel and travel experience is an asset
