We have partnered with a Canadian-based marketing agency that is part of an independent Network of Agencies strategically located across the world to provide global reach and capabilities who are looking for a Senior Insights Specialist.
The Senior Insights Specialist, leads and designs a wide range of mixed-method insights projects aimed at addressing key business questions and uncovering opportunities and risks for clients.
As a trusted subject matter expert in primary and secondary research, the Senior Specialist delivers actionable intelligence on consumers, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, the Senior Specialist translates data and research findings into clear, impactful insights that inform business decision-making, strategy, and planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mixed-method insights projects end-to-end
- The development and implementation of high quality proprietary primary research projects
- The search and validation of secondary information relevant to the business problem to solve or opportunity to explore, while remaining in the scope of the role’s responsibilities
- Tools and techniques facilitating information search and processing
- Deliver high quality outputs using the combination of information gathered, summarize complex insights findings into short and clear actionable information, adapted to audiences
- Perform Insights requests evaluation and built projects briefs to engage all relevant stakeholders
- Develop or participate in the development of a methodology specific to each project.
- Participate in the evaluation and use of syndicated products and data sources
- Ensure quality assurance for various deliverables produced by or for the team (peer reviews)
- Work with the team to ensure and increase visibility of insights, supporting customer centric and fact based decision-making and planning. Support clients in owning the insights and taking actions about them
- Continuously seek improvement for the team’s activities and operations, keeping up with any emerging tools, techniques and sources, including but not limited to AI
- This role is hands on however will require to partner with external vendors and to collaborate with internal subject matter experts in other fields
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields and min 3 years’ experience in similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience. MSc or MBA an asset
- Enthusiasm for online businesses and highly motivated in developing knowledge about various topics and industries. Suitable business acumen expected
- Ability to set priorities, multi-task, handle pressure and obtain results. Commitment to meeting timelines.
- Ability to structure concise and clear results presentations based on large amounts of information
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking.
- Must be comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative information and how to combine them.
- Knowledge of marketing research, basic statistical analysis and analytics required
- Knowledge of various secondary information sources, and capability to continuously seek and learn new sources
- More specifically, awareness of web related information and measures and knowledge of AI tools and techniques in the context of insights.
- Comfortable in a decentralized structure where results are based on cooperation, collaboration, and influence of others.
- Ability to present ideas, conclusions and recommendations with clarity to diverse audiences. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 10%
