Job Summary and Requirements

This is for 1 (one) full-time permanent position working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Land Management Branch is an effective steward of public land for the benefit of current and future generations of all Yukon people.

As part of the Client Services team, the Senior Lands Officer leads the review and analysis of land applications; drafts legal documents; and manages land sales, leases, and licenses. The Senior Lands Officer collaborates with interdepartmental and intergovernmental representatives for input and consultation related to land applications and dispositions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Post-secondary coursework in resource management, geography, land planning, law, or a related field
  • Experience working within a legislative or policy framework;
  • Experience collaborating and/or negotiating with clients, stakeholders or organizations;
  • Experience managing projects;
  • Experience mentoring or training team members, colleagues or staff;
  • Experience researching, compiling and analyzing information;
  • Experience working in resource management or real estate is an asset.

Candidates who have a combination of education, training and experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Additional Information
