Logistics Sourcing Analyst

J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking a Logistics Sourcing Analyst to support sourcing, analytics, and supplier performance across logistics operations. This is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Manager of Logistics Sourcing.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $77,500 per year
- Analyze logistics spend and identify cost-saving opportunities and risks, with a focus on outbound truck and rail freight
- Maintain freight tables and contracts across TMS platforms (e.g., E1, MercuryGate) to ensure data integrity and continuity
- Support supplier and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure service quality, contract compliance, and performance metrics
- Develop and deliver monthly freight reports tailored to affiliate networks and regional markets
- Lead outbound freight RFP/RFQ processes, including:
- Collecting and validating forecasts
- Gathering lane specific details pertinent to pricing considerations
- Consolidating and issuing bid packages
- Analyzing responses and providing award recommendations
- Conduct detailed data analysis to support sourcing initiatives and strategic decisions
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities using industry best practices
- Manage multiple projects concurrently
- Travel as required.
- Post-secondary education in Business or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of progressive experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain (manufacturing experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with TMS systems such as MercuryGate, E1/E2 (preferred)
Proficiency with RFP implementation & optimization software would be considered and asset.
