We are looking for a sharp, organized, brand-minded writer who can help bring a complete Truman world to life across CRM, email, social, campaign messaging, resident communications, and customer journeys.
The Role
A CRM & Content Manager / Copywriter to own the copy, content planning, CRM messaging, nurture communications, and campaign language that move people through the Truman ecosystem.
This role sits at the intersection of brand, sales, leasing, CRM, content, and campaign execution. You will write for renters, buyers, residents, brokers, realtors, past leads, prospects, and community audiences, adapting Truman’s brand voice across every stage of the customer journey.
You will be responsible for creating clear, compelling, on-brand content that supports lead nurture, buyer conversion, tenant engagement, resident loyalty, referral campaigns, past lead reactivation, broker communication, appointment flows, event campaigns, social media, brochures, landing pages, and sales collateral.
This is a writing-heavy role for someone who understands that every email, caption, brochure, reminder, invitation, landing page, and follow-up message should feel like it came from the same intelligence.
What You’ll Own
CRM, Email & Nurture Content
- Write lead nurture copy for prospects across Truman’s rental, ownership, Rent to Own, community campaigns, loyalty and more.
- Develop buyer nurture content that helps move prospects from inquiry to appointment, appointment to decision, and decision to purchase.
- Write tenant email communications, resident updates, and community messaging.
- Create referral campaign copy and resident-to-owner campaign messaging.
- Develop past lead reactivation copy and support the reactivation schedule.
- Write broker and realtor nurture content.
- Create appointment reminder copy, confirmation language, journey touchpoints, and follow-up messaging.
- Write event invitation, reminder, and post-event follow-up copy.
CRM Personas, Segmentation & Journey Mapping
- Develop CRM persona and segment briefs in partnership with marketing leadership, sales, leasing, and CRM/Web Systems.
- Support customer journey mapping across renters, buyers, residents, brokers, realtors, past leads, and ownership-intent audiences.
- Translate audience insights into clear messaging strategies and content flows.
- Map automated nurture journeys in partnership with Web/Systems.
- Manage the CRM content schedule, ensuring campaigns, emails, reminders, and follow-ups are planned and delivered on time.
- Maintain consistency across journey language, audience needs, and campaign priorities.
Campaign Messaging & Copywriting
- Adapt campaign messaging from agency frameworks into usable, channel-specific copy.
- Write campaign copy for email, social, landing pages, brochures, sales collateral, ads, and follow-up sequences.
- Partner with Performance Marketing on ad copy and paid campaign messaging.
- Partner with the Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Graphic Designer on brochure and sales collateral copy.
- Partner with Web/Systems on website, SEO and landing page copy.
- Ensure campaign language is clear, specific, conversion-focused, and aligned with Truman’s brand standards.
- Translate campaign briefs into messaging that supports leasing, sales, lead quality, and customer movement.
Social Media & Organic Content
- Write social media captions and page content across Truman’s brand, community, rental, ownership, Rent to Own, event, and lifestyle channels.
- Develop organic social post copy that supports brand storytelling, campaign priorities, community moments, events, resident engagement, and product education.
- Adapt Truman’s brand voice for social while keeping the language direct, warm, confident, and specific.
- Support content planning across social, CRM, campaign, and community communications.
Sales, Leasing & Resident Communications
- Create approved messaging and follow-up language for leasing and sales teams.
- Support campaign handoffs to leasing and sales with clear talking points, email copy, FAQs, and customer-facing language.
- Write resident community communications that feel polished, useful, and on brand.
- Ensure messaging supports a consistent customer experience across inquiry, appointment, tour, application, purchase, move-in, ownership path, and resident relationship.
Content Handoff & Production Coordination
- Hand off approved content to the Senior Graphic Designer for layout, asset production, brochures, social templates, and campaign materials.
- Hand off approved content to Web/Systems for email setup, QA, automation, landing page implementation, and deployment.
- Maintain organized copy docs, content calendars, campaign messaging documents, and version control.
- Ensure creative, CRM, web, performance, leasing, and sales teams have the messaging they need to execute clearly and consistently.
What You’ll Bring
- Excellent copywriting skills across email, social, ads, brochures, landing pages, sales collateral, resident communications, and campaign messaging.
- Strong understanding of audience personas, segmentation, and customer journey mapping.
- CRM literacy, including nurture journeys, automated flows, segmentation, content scheduling, and lifecycle messaging.
- Ability to write clearly for renters, buyers, brokers, residents, investors, realtors, and community audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a content calendar across multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Comfort working from brand guidelines, campaign frameworks, sales priorities, leasing priorities, and customer journey objectives.
- Ability to take strategic direction and turn it into practical, usable content.
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, tone, grammar, and message hierarchy.
- Ability to collaborate with creative, CRM, web, performance marketing, sales, leasing, and external agency partners.
- A sharp editorial eye and the ability to make complex offers or pathways feel simple, human, and actionable.
- Efficient, self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced growth environment.
