Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Ellwood Park Animal Hospital, located in Abbotsford, BC, is looking for an experienced, full-time Client Service Representative (CSR)/Receptionist/Veterinary assistant to join our team.

This individual will be an enthusiastic, punctual, responsible person with a strong work ethic to effectively serve the needs of our clients and patients in our multi-doctor, busy hospital

• Must have previous experience in a veterinary hospital, preferably with a certificate in a Veterinary Assistant program
• Create a warm, welcoming, fear-free environment for our clients and patients

• Capable of following direction from co-workers/DVMs and performing at a high standard
• Ability to work as part of a team

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Answering phone calls on a multiline phone system
• Scheduling appointments in PIMS system (Cornerstone)
• Placing outbound calls to clients for follow-up and future appointment/bookings
• Responding and managing email correspondence
• Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, process payment
• Filing electronic documents
• Stocking shelves
• Additional administrative & housekeeping duties including cleaning of hospital, vacuuming, mopping, deep cleaning
