Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Paralegal to join our team in Surrey, BC. This is an on-site role where you will play a key part in supporting our lawyers and clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and drafting legal documents for various practice areas.
  • Conducting legal research using multiple tools and databases.
  • Reviewing and organizing case-related documents.
  • Communicating professionally with clients, counsel, and court staff.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to case management.
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance in all documentation and filings.

Qualifications

Education

  • Certificate or Diploma in Paralegal Studies from an accredited institution in BC (or equivalent).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an asset.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a legal or paralegal role within BC.
  • Familiarity with BC legal processes, civil litigation documentation, and family law procedures is essential.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal document preparation and case management.
  • Strong research skills using multiple legal research tools (e.g., CanLII, Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
