POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Survey Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of survey projects. Working closely with Project Managers and field crews, you'll coordinate day-to-day operations, oversee field data submissions, perform QA/QC reviews, process survey data, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, and efficiently.

This position is primarily office-based , with occasional field work required to support project coordination and operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Survey Coordination & Operations

  • Coordinate survey crews, equipment, and project schedules

  • Support Project Managers with daily project execution

  • Process field data and perform survey calculations

  • Review drafted plans and complete QA/QC checks

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support field crews

  • Maintain equipment inventory and records

  • Build strong working relationships with clients and internal teams

Safety & Leadership

  • Promote and lead by example in LN's safety culture

  • Participate in corporate and client HSE programs

  • Support Safety Committee initiatives

  • Assist with mentoring and supporting field personnel as required

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in the geomatics or surveying industry

  • Experience coordinating or managing survey field operations

  • Strong knowledge of survey data processing and QA/QC procedures

  • Understanding of Alberta legal survey requirements

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Post-secondary education in Geomatics Engineering Technology or equivalent experience is considered an asset

WORK CONDITIONS

This is a local position based in Fort McMurray. Applicants must currently reside in the Fort McMurray area and must be legally eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis .
