Location: Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

Schedule: Variable shifts (Day, Mid-day, Night)

Shift Times: 0700–1530, 0730–1600, 0800–1630, 0900–1730, 1100–2230, 1530–0000, 1630–0100, 1830–0300, 2000–0430

Hours: Up to 40 hours/week (8–10 hour shifts)

Pay Rate: $26.38/hour

Employment Type: Seasonal (May 1 – September 30, 2026)

Overview

Concord Parking is seeking customer-focused Seasonal Curbside Ambassadors to support curbside operations at Vancouver International Airport. This is a highly active, customer-facing role where you will help manage traffic flow, assist passengers, and ensure a smooth and safe airport experience.

This is a temporary opportunity with potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage curbside traffic and enforce parking regulations
  • Provide wayfinding assistance and customer service to passengers
  • Support operations across:
    • Passenger pick-up and drop-off zones
    • Taxi stands and commercial vehicle areas
    • Domestic and international arrivals
  • Communicate with Ground Transportation Dispatch and supervisors
  • Ensure continuous traffic flow and public safety
  • Proactively engage with drivers and passengers to provide guidance
  • Accurately report incidents and operational issues
  • Use radio communication for coordination and break coverage
  • Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk outdoors for 8–10 hour shifts
  • Ability to walk 10–15 km per shift
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
  • Ability to pass a 3rd-party assessment (TestGorilla)
  • Availability to work flexible/rotating shifts (including nights)
  • 3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience
  • Experience in fast-paced or high-volume environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service mindset with conflict resolution ability
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Must successfully complete Traffic Control Person Training (provided)

Nice to Have

  • Parking, aviation, or traffic control experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Additional language skills (French or others)
  • Traffic Safety Control certification
