Position: Technical Specialist (Nuclear)
Location: Oshawa, ON (2 days remote)
Structure: Contract 36 months to start
Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 p/h inc. + HST

Deliverables
- Provide technical leadership by defining system architecture, technical strategy, and engineering standards that deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead architecture reviews, system design decisions, technology evaluations, and implementation guidance while promoting engineering best practices across multiple development teams.
- Mentor and coach software engineers by improving technical capabilities, development practices, code quality, problem-solving skills, and overall engineering excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement through adoption of modern technologies, cloud platforms, DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration while influencing enterprise technology direction and innovation.
Experience Required
- 6–8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, technical leadership, and solution architecture, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with strong expertise in software architecture, design patterns, cloud technologies, and scalable application development.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring development teams, establishing engineering standards, conducting architecture and code reviews, and driving software quality, security, and engineering best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, modern software development workflows, and cloud-native application architectures.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills with the ability to influence architectural direction, evaluate emerging technologies, and align technical solutions with business strategy.
