Mill Operator

Our Client is looking for a Mill Operator! This role is based in Northern Ontario, 3km west of Matachewan, ON. Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Operations, the Mill Operator will be responsible for performing various duties within the Mill and supporting Mill crews.

What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor crushers, conveyors, pumps, and ball mills.
- Take samples and check process parameters
- Perform inspections and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain safety standards
- Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.
- Participate in daily pre-start meetings, shift handovers, startups, shutdowns, and emergency procedures.
- Report any safety hazards, risks, or concerns immediately.
- Follow all regulatory and site-specific operating procedures
- Learn and operate various instruments, machines, and equipment as needed.
- Perform other related tasks to support safe and efficient mill operations.
- Working rotating 12-hour shifts in a mining environment
What You Need
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Basic Mill Process Operator Common Core required
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Milling experience in mining, operating one or more circuits:
- Grinding circuit with SAG mill
- Floatation circuit with regrind mill
- CIL circuit
- Elution circuit
- Willingness to learn and follow procedures
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Completion of Levert onboarding modules (mandatory)
PPE
- CSA-approved steel toe boots
- CSA-hard hat
- CSA-high visibility coat or vest & pants
- CSA safety glasses
