About the Role
We are seeking a Founding AI Platform Technical Lead to work directly with the founder in designing and building a next-generation enterprise AI platform.
This is a highly technical, hands-on leadership role.
You will help transform product vision into scalable software architecture while leading the implementation of AI-powered capabilities across our platform.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building new products rather than maintaining legacy systems.
Responsibilities
Design the overall architecture of our AI platform
Lead backend architecture and engineering best practices
Design scalable APIs and microservices
Build and integrate AI agents using modern LLM technologies
Develop enterprise RAG pipelines and knowledge management systems
Guide AI workflow orchestration and tool integration
Work closely with the founder to convert business ideas into production-ready software
Mentor developers and co-op students
Establish coding standards, CI/CD, testing, security, and deployment processes
Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate
Desired Qualifications
7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience leading technical architecture for SaaS platforms
Strong backend development experience (Python, Node.js, or similar)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Experience building AI applications using LLM APIs
Experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, and AI workflows
Strong understanding of API design and distributed systems
Experience mentoring engineering teams
Bonus Qualifications
Experience building AI agents
Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar frameworks
Experience with enterprise knowledge management systems
Experience with workflow automation platforms
Experience in engineering, construction, AEC, BIM, or consulting software
Startup or founding engineer experience
