Associate, Sustainable Supply Chain (12-18 month contract)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive associate to support Dollarama’s supply chain accountability framework and compliance activities. This role will report to the Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs.

This role is to replace a maternity leave contract.

Key Accountabilities

Supplier Compliance Monitoring

  • Monitor and enforce supplier’s compliance with Dollarama’s policies, and ethical and social responsibility standards
  • Identify suppliers in scope for supplier audits
  • Collect and review supplier audit reports; ensure they are renewed in prescribed timelines
  • Identify issues and formulate recommendations with respect to corrective actions, in collaboration with the procurement team

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of supplier compliance audits, and supply chain metrics
  • Prepare and present reports on human rights mitigation strategies and progress on supplier audit program to management

ESG

  • Compile and analyze ESG information, conduct research, collect data from internal teams, and perform data analysis and interpretation
  • Support the development of Dollarama’s annual report on supply chain accountability and practices (Modern Slavery Act report) and ESG disclosure on supply chain accountability

Human Rights Risk Assessment

  • Conduct regular updates and evaluations of the company’s human rights risk assessment, identifying potential risks and impacts related to our operations and supply chain.

Research and Analysis

  • Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to supply chain and supplier management, including the Canadian Supply Chains Act (Modern Slavery)
  • Stay informed about global human rights trends, standards, and regulations. Analyze relevant data, reports, and stakeholder inputs to identify emerging risks and areas for improvement.

Policy Development

  • Provide support for maintaining/updating existing core governance policy documents such as the code of conduct and its supporting policies, and assist in developing additional governance policy documents if necessary
  • Understanding of compliance standards and best practices in sustainable supply chain management or willing to learn;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis, and PowerPoint for creating presentations;
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail;
  • Great communicator and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams; and
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
