We are seeking a passionate and skilled Behaviour Analyst to join our dedicated team and help build capacity among staff while providing essential direct support to students and families.

Under the direction of the Applied Behaviour Analytic (ABA) Lead, the Behaviour Analyst will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based behavioural interventions derived from the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with school staff, families, and external providers to foster meaningful improvements in student behaviour and skill acquisition. The Behaviour Analyst is registered for independent practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.

Job Description:

  • Perform individualized, functional behaviour assessments (direct and indirect methods) to inform student programming
  • Collaborate with school teams and families to co-develop, implement, and evaluate effective Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and ensure alignment with Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data on student behaviour to inform intervention adjustments and progress monitoring

  • Provide consultation and model/coach school staff on the effective implementation of ABA instructional methods, BSPs, and Skill Acquisition Plans

  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to students and staff using safe and effective strategies when needed

  • Connect with parents/guardians to gather critical information, involve them in support development, and share assessment results and recommendations

  • Develop and deliver targeted training and professional development workshops (Board and school-level) in areas like ABA methods, crisis prevention, and inter-disciplinary practices to build staff capacity

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and remain current on research and evidence-based practices in ABA for students with ASD, developmental disabilities, and other behaviour disorders

  • Maintain comprehensive, detailed records of all student-related activities (e.g., consents, assessments, consultations, recommendations, reports) in case files

  • Participate actively in departmental staff meetings, projects, committee initiatives, and board/regional committees as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered as an independently practicing Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario

  • Master’s level degree in Education, Psychology, or ABA

  • Completion of a post-graduate studies in Autism, Behavioural Science or Psychology

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis

  • Demonstrates excellence in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis

  • Knowledge of elementary and secondary education in Ontario and relevant Ministry policies and procedures (e.g. PPM 140)

  • Exceptional collaborative, communication, data analysis, and report-writing skills.

  • Strong public speaking/presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and sensitivity

  • Familiar with software programs including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms)

  • A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle

Anticipated start date is August 26, 2026 with an anticipated end date of July 9, 2027.

This is a full time (1.0 FTE) temporary position with an annual salary range of $96,013 - $112,815 .
