The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Older People’s Services Outpatient Team on a part-time, permanent basis within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. You will work as an autonomous practitioner managing a complex and varied caseload, making a real difference to patient outcomes and quality of life. This role offers the chance to contribute to service development, lead change and support the growth of colleagues and students. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Part-Time, Permanent

Base Location: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

Shift Pattern: 5 over 7 (Monday to Sunday)

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex outpatient caseload including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and long-term condition management
  • Work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Provide clinical supervision, leadership and support to rotational staff, support workers and students
  • Lead and contribute to service development, quality improvement, audit and research initiatives
  • Delegate and oversee caseloads and tasks to ensure safe, efficient and effective service delivery
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews and service planning to support continuous improvement
  • Contribute to extended hours or seven-day working patterns as required by the service

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job

  • Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration
  • Relevant clinical experience or transferable skills that demonstrate the ability to work within Older People’s Services or a similar setting
  • Ability to assess and manage a varied and potentially complex caseload, working both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience of supporting, supervising or contributing to the learning and development of others, or a willingness to develop in this area
  • Understanding of, or willingness to engage in, audit, research and quality improvement activities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to adapt in a busy clinical environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and delivering high-quality, evidence-informed care
