Position Overview

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is now accepting applications for an Office Clerk position based out of Salmon Arm, BC.

Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services (Corporate Officer), the Office Clerk provides clerical support and receptionist duties for the Corporate Services department.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Provides clerical and administrative support services (word processing, data entry, copying, scanning, and filing).
  • Drafts routine letters and memos.
  • Maintains records, databases, and forms.
  • Provides information, assistance and direction to the public.
  • Schedules CSRD fleet vehicles and provides mileage reports.
  • Orders and maintains office supplies.
  • Receives and processes payments.
  • Distributes and processes incoming and outgoing mail, courier services and mail-outs.
  • Assists with meeting and lunch room setup and clean up.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in office administration or a related field.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of related experience, preferably within a unionized, local government environment.
  • A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License must be maintained.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Position Type: Permanent full time (35 hour work week)

Union: CUPE Local 1908

Salary Range: $2,020.77 to $2,284.23 bi-weekly (January 2026 rates)

Hours of Work: Typical hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
