About the Finance Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic projects, financial analysis, and business planning initiatives.
  • Lead all aspects of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance insights for senior leadership.
  • Act as a key commercial business partner, supporting profitability analysis, pricing decisions, margin improvement initiatives, and growth strategies.
  • Oversee working capital performance, including inventory, receivables, payables, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Manage banking and external financial relationships while supporting broader financing and liquidity initiatives.
  • Drive financial discipline and cost control across the organisation through proactive business partnering and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal governance processes.

Key Requirements

  • CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • 7-12 years’ experience within a consumer products, distribution, wholesale, retail, or related environment.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capabilities combined with a commercial mindset.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cash flow, working capital, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
  • Experience operating within a multi-entity or international reporting structure is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior leadership constructively.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
