Compensation is determined based on experience and internal equity.

This role is ideal for OTs who are passionate about brain injury rehabilitation, interdisciplinary teamwork, and functional, goal-oriented recovery. Key Responsibilities: PCMP

  • Provide OT interventions in clinic and community/workplace settings
  • Conduct comprehensive intake and ongoing assessments (cognitive, physical, functional, and work-related)
  • Develop individualized treatment and graduated return-to-work plans
  • Deliver education (individual and group) on topics such as:
  • Concussion and brain injury recovery
  • Symptom and pain management
  • Sleep, mood, memory, and concentration
  • Strengthening, stretching, and balance training
  • Cognitive and work simulation activities
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
  • Communicate with stakeholders including family physicians, employers, and WorkSafeBC case managers
  • Participate in job site visits to assess work demands and support return-to-work planning
  • Complete charting and formal report writing

Key Responsibilities: ECAT

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients’ cognitive, functional, and psychosocial abilities following a mild concussion.
  • Develop and implement individualized, client-centered treatment plans to support recovery and functional independence.
  • Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions, including cognitive rehabilitation, activity pacing, energy conservation, and symptom management strategies.
  • Provide education and reassurance to clients in the early stages of concussion recovery, promoting understanding of symptoms and expected recovery trajectories.
  • Address functional impacts of concussion on daily activities, including self-care, productivity, and leisure participation.
  • Facilitate safe and sustainable return-to-work planning through graded activity exposure, job task analysis, and workplace accommodation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Kinesiologists to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Communicate with employers, insurers, and other stakeholders to support successful return-to-work outcomes.
  • Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
  • Empower clients with practical strategies to manage symptoms, improve cognitive function, and enhance overall participation in meaningful activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of clinical experience providing occupational therapy in a rehabilitation or return-to-work setting
  • Experience working with concussion, brain injury, or neurological conditions preferred
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for community sessions
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for stakeholder liaison, case management, and report writing
