Wainwright is located in a rural setting where Registered Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team to provide family focused nursing care. Home Care staff provide both hands on care as well as case management, for a diverse client group in private homes, community group housing, non-designated Lodge/Manor settings and supportive living facilities both in the town of Wainwright and the surrounding community.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications

Good communication skills and the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required, with demonstrated responsibility for maintaining own continuing competence. Ability to meet the physical demands required. Must have regular availability for picking up shifts, and ability to pick up shifts on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Homecare setting. Case Management Training. RAI-HC training and experience. 5 years Nursing Experience. Connect Care Trained for Home Care.
