East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division is seeking applicants to serve as a Wellness Coach. A Wellness Coach is part of an integrated multidisciplinary team approach in providing mental wellness promotion, prevention, education and crisis intervention services to children, youth and their families within a school setting. The Wellness Coach will research best practices in developing programming for students. Services provided will primarily be universal but can include a few targeted groups. The Wellness Coach will work closely with the Family School Liaison Worker to help provide a full complement of mental wellness programs. We encourage applications from all qualified candidates.
This is a fixed-term contract running from August 25, 2026, to June 25, 2027. The Wellness Coach would report to the Assistant Superintendent, Liberty Stafford. Please see the job description below for specific details of the role.

Job
Education:
- Degree in Human Services
- Experience with and knowledge of the workflow of K-12 education settings
- Mental Health awareness and community engagement experiences

Duties:
- Work collaboratively with school staff to identify areas of need in the mental wellness of students
- Research, develop, coordinate and deliver universal mental wellness prevention programs to students and their families
- Provide resources and information to students and their families on various mental wellness topics
- Develop and facilitate presentations and activities on various mental wellness topics for students and their families
- Provide immediate short-term response, including problem solving, coping and crisis management skills for students until they are connected to an appropriate service provider
- Create physical and social environments that support the acquisition of healthy relationships, positive skills and opportunities for mental health and physical well- being of students and their families
- Other duties as assigned
