Why this role is important?

SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to assist with the final verification and quality assurance of compliance packaging (blister packs) for patients. This role is responsible for ensuring blister packs are accurately prepared according to prescriptions and pharmacy standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and verify blister packs for accuracy, including medication, strength, quantity, dosage time, and labeling.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or concerns to the pharmacist.
  • Ensure compliance packs meet pharmacy quality assurance standards before dispensing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to blister pack verification activities.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining compliance packaging inventory as required.
  • Adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory college.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Previous experience with compliance packaging or blister pack preparation is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
