Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager

TRON Engineering provides professional engineering and project management services to a range of industrial clients across Saskatchewan. We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager for our Weyburn office to manage engineering projects and support facility design, analysis, and operations. Engineers-in-Training, recently licensed P.Eng’s, and Eng. Tech’s are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned engineering projects from initiation through close-out

• Provide a project support role to the Principal Engineer on large projects

• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans

• Monitor project performance, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and external stakeholders

• Serve as a primary client liaison, providing proactive communication and reporting

• Lead facility engineering design reviews and technical approvals

• Perform mechanical design and engineering analysis for facility/pipeline systems and infrastructure

• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports

• Apply professional seal and signature to engineering documents where appropriate (upon P.Eng. licensure)

• Provide operational engineering support including troubleshooting, optimization, risk assessments, and commissioning

• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program, or Eng. Tech. diploma

• Registration (or eligibility) with APEGS or ASET— an EIT, recently licensed P.Eng., or Eng. Tech. are all acceptable

• Previous oil and gas, or industrial/construction experience is preferred

• Previous practical, hands-on experience with industrial or trades work is strongly preferred

• Strong grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals and relevant codes and standards

• Proficiency with engineering and drafting tools; willingness to learn new technologies and software. CAD experience is an asset.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field sites

• Legally eligible to work in Canada

• Base Salary: $80-120K annually based on experience level
