The Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association is the voice of the residential construction industry in Saskatoon and surrounding communities. Since 1955, SRHBA has supported member success through advocacy, industry leadership, professionalism, and meaningful opportunities for connection and growth.
We are seeking a relationship-driven Industry Relations Coordinator to join our team. This position plays an important role in strengthening relationships with members, supporting membership growth and retention, gathering industry feedback, and helping ensure member perspectives are reflected in SRHBA’s advocacy, events, programs, and communications.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and natural relationship builder who enjoys connecting with people, understanding industry needs, and helping members feel informed, engaged, and supported. Applicants must be located in Saskatoon or willing to relocate to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead membership recruitment, retention, onboarding, engagement, and renewal efforts to grow and strengthen SRHBA membership
• Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, renovators, developers, suppliers, trades, and other industry stakeholders
• Act as a key conduit for member feedback, helping identify industry issues, member priorities, emerging concerns, and opportunities for improved member value
• Support member consultation efforts, including coordinating feedback, meeting notes, surveys, follow-up, and input for advocacy files
• Support advocacy initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and policy development through coordination, member outreach, research support, and follow-up
• Coordinate meaningful member meetings, including Builder, Renovator, Developer, and other industry-specific engagement meetings
• Identify, screen, and evaluate prospective members to ensure alignment with SRHBA values and membership expectations
• Manage the member lifecycle, including onboarding, probationary follow-ups, engagement support, renewals, and exit processes
• Support member understanding of SRHBA’s Code of Ethics through communication, education, tracking, and follow-up
• Act as the first point of contact for public complaints received through SRHBA’s process and ensure proper tracking, communication, and follow-up
• Support networking events and major association initiatives such as HomeStyles, Parade of Homes, Housing Excellence Awards, and the Builders Classic Golf Tournament, working closely with the Major Projects & Events Manager
• Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager to promote members, highlight industry stories, and support member communications
• Maintain accurate membership records, CRM data, reports, and member engagement tracking
• Prepare membership status reports for the Board, committees, and national office as required
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in stakeholder relations, membership, business development, association management, community engagement, events, advocacy support, or a related field
• Strong relationship-building skills and confidence engaging with business owners, professionals, members, and community stakeholders
• Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills
• Ability to listen to member concerns, identify themes, and help translate feedback into action
• Experience coordinating meetings, events, consultations, or stakeholder engagement activities
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with CRM systems, reporting, databases, or member records is an asset
• Familiarity with residential construction, real estate, land development, trades, or the association sector is considered a strong asset
• A professional, proactive, service-oriented approach and a genuine interest in supporting the residential construction industry
