Personal Support Worker

CareQuilt is a private-pay home care company. We help older adults stay healthy, independent, and at home longer through structured, prevention-oriented support. Our care is goal-based and organised around four areas: mobility, nutrition, cognition, and social and emotional wellbeing. Each client has one focus area, with the others tracked over time. Behind every placement is CareOS, our coordination system, which handles scheduling, communication, and logistics so caregivers can focus on the people in front of them.

Provide personal care and support in clients' homes, including assistance with daily activities, mobility, meals, and companionship. Follow a structured care approach focused on each client's goals, not just task completion. Note changes in a client's condition or wellbeing and flag anything that needs attention. Communicate with the coordination team through CareOS to keep schedules and client information current. Build a consistent, trusting relationship with the clients you are matched to.

Continuity. You are matched to clients for the longer term, which is better for them and better for you. Structure. A prevention-oriented model gives your work clear purpose and direction. Support. CareOS removes most of the coordination burden, and an RPN is available for clinical guidance. Stability. Clients commit to a weekly minimum, so placements are steadier than gig-style agency shifts.

PSW certificate or your province's equivalent designation (for example, Health Care Aide or Continuing Care Assistant), or equivalent training such as an internationally trained nurse or nursing student. Valid CPR and First Aid certification. Clear police and vulnerable sector check, per your province's requirements. Legal right to work in Canada. Strong communication skills and dependability.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's licence. Experience with older adults, dementia care, or chronic condition support. Comfort using a phone or app for scheduling and updates.
