About the Client
This role supports a male client in his late 60s living at home with his spouse. The client has Alzheimer's and remains largely aware of his surroundings and condition — he can hold conversations, recognizes people, and understands what is happening around him. His primary caregiver is his spouse, who is actively building a broader support network around him. The client responds particularly well to male company, and a male caregiver is required for this role given the personal nature of the care being provided. Role Overview
This is a focused, routine-based position: 4 mornings per week, 1 hour per visit, dedicated to personal hygiene care. Consistency and familiarity are important — the client benefits greatly from a predictable routine and a caregiver he can come to know and trust. Responsibilities
Assisting with morning hygiene care, including sponge bathing Supporting with any related personal care tasks (e.g., grooming, dressing) as needed Maintaining a calm, respectful, and dignified approach throughout Communicating any observations to the spouse following each visit
What We're Looking For
Male caregiver required — given the intimate nature of personal care and the client's strong preference for male company PSW certification or equivalent personal care experience Experience supporting clients with Alzheimer's or dementia, particularly those who retain self-awareness Patient, respectful, and sensitive — the client is aware of his condition, and dignity in care is paramount Reliable and punctual — routine and consistency are essential at this stage
