Junior Accountant – 12-Month Contract (Fully Onsite)

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their team for an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who is working toward a professional designation and is eager to develop their accounting skills within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and outstanding items
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Support reporting and ad hoc analysis as required
• Assist with process improvements and special projects

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Working toward a CPA or other accounting designation is strongly preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including exposure to AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUp,Formulas and data manipulation
• Dashboard creation and reporting experience is considered an asset
• Experience with an ERP system is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
