Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Technician to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and preparing new and refurbished technology equipment for internal and external customers. The successful candidate will possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently while meeting production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and deploy new and refurbished desktop, laptop, server, and peripheral equipment for internal and external customers.
Install, test, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware and software issues.
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure all systems meet customer and organizational standards.
Meet daily production targets and deadlines as assigned by the Configuration Scheduler.
Collaborate with internal technical teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and escalations.
Document work performed and maintain accurate configuration records.
Follow established ISO procedures and comply with Compugen's Quality Management System (QMS).
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the configuration and deployment process.

Skills & Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Systems Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the PC hardware industry.
Experience configuring, refurbishing, repairing, and deploying desktops, laptops, printers, and related hardware.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for PC and server-based hardware.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to safely lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
