POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Engagement, Partnerships and Marketing, the Events and Content Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high quality events and member facing content that enhance the member experience, support professional development, and strengthen the organization’s brand and revenue goals.

This role blends event logistics, program coordination, and content execution. It plays a critical role in ensuring professional development offerings, conferences, and member communications are delivered efficiently, consistently, and in alignment with the organization’s strategic priorities.

This role requires someone who is highly organized, collaborative, detail oriented, and comfortable moving between planning, coordination, and hands on execution.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Event Planning and Delivery

  • Coordinate logistics and execution of all CPHR Saskatchewan events (both in-person and virtual) including the Annual CPHR Saskatchewan Conference, HR Forum, Professional Development events, and membership meetings to provide support and to connect with members, sponsors, and partners
  • Manage event timelines, run of show documents, registration workflows, and post event follow up.
  • Liaise with venues, vendors, speakers, facilitators, volunteers, and sponsors as required.
  • Coordinate audio‑visual, technology, catering, décor, and onsite or virtual event support.
  • Track event budgets, invoices, and vendor contracts.
  • Support event evaluations and feedback collection to inform continuous improvement.
  • Attend and represent CPHR Saskatchewan at events and meetings.

Content and Communications Coordination

  • Draft clear, concise and engaging content for scheduled weekly newsletter and e-blasts for the association and partner organizations.
  • Lead the bi-annual magazine, special member communications, website updates, promotional and marketing materials, annual report, and year-end reports.
  • Tracking email campaign performance and analytics.
  • Promotes CPHR Saskatchewan events, Association news, and partnerships, through effective and timely use of social media and other online platforms.
  • Promotes the CPHR Saskatchewan brand in a positive and professional manner through online platforms.
  • Managing social media platforms, which includes creating and scheduling engaging social media content, and monitoring media coverage.
  • Creating and developing visual elements, including videos and static imagery, that support digital and online, social media, and traditional media advertising initiatives.
  • Actively monitors and tracks online chatter, positive and negative, related to the Association and informs the Manager, Stakeholder Engagement, Partnerships and Marketing of potential reputational risk.
  • Provides campaign-specific social media reports.

Member Experience Support

  • Respond to event‑related member inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support registration, payments, and attendance troubleshooting.
  • Assist with post‑event communications, certificates, and follow‑up materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date data in the CRM related to events and participation.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or degree in event management, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience coordinating events, programs, or professional learning initiatives.
  • One to three (1-3) years of relevant work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office software and virtual collaboration tools, including Teams, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Canva or graphic design is an asset.
  • Experience with CRM systems, event platforms, or registration tools is an asset.
  • Comfortable working with budgets, contracts, and vendors.
  • Some overnight travel within Saskatchewan may be required; a valid driver’s license is an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Regular and flexible hours, Monday to Friday, in an office and remote working environment responsive to organizational needs.
  • Able to work longer days, including evenings or weekends, to attend CPHR Saskatchewan events.
