Mechanic

We're looking for a Light Duty or Heavy Duty Mechanic to help keep our fleet and equipment running smoothly. This is a full-time, year-round position with an immediate start available. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance of: Snow Cats, Snowmobiles, Power Systems (hydroelectric and generator) plus various shop and lodge equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, equipment updates, and inventory. To ensure all information is current.
- Work closely with road builders, drivers, guides, and operations staff to address equipment concerns and provide timely repairs.
- Review maintenance logs to ensure work is properly documented and communicated.
- Manage parts inventory and ensure essential spare parts are available when needed.
- Assist with building maintenance, utilities, and other projects as required.
- Cooperate with other departments, to assist with their needs as identified by the Maintenance Manager. Such as snow removal, grocery orders, moving freight.
- Participate in staff training, ERP training, and any other training set forth by Island Lake
- Complete seasonal servicing and preventative maintenance on snowcats and snowmobiles before each winter season.
- Help with the end-of-season cleaning and storage of snowcats and snowmobiles.
- Be a team player who communicates and works collaboratively with all departments across Island Lake.
Preference will be given to applicants that possess the following:
- Good work ethics and attention to detail
- Journeyman Mechanic
- First aid Certificate
- Class 4 driver’s license
