We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team at Vegreville Care Centre, a cottage‑style facility consisting of five cottages, including four non‑secure units and one secure unit, with 12 residents per cottage. Built in 2008, the facility offers 60 private beds and is designed to support resident comfort and well‑being, with features including private bathrooms and showers, spacious living areas, and a full lift track system to promote safety and dignity in care. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will assess, coordinate, and participate in the delivery of comprehensive nursing care using critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making. You will also teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of residents and their families. In this position, you are responsible and accountable for providing safe, high‑quality care in accordance with CRNA nursing practice standards. You will supervise LPNs, HCAs, and support staff while contributing to an integrated, holistic approach to care delivery within a continuing care environment. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications
Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. Experience or training with Connect Care in a Continuing Care Facility Living Nurse ILT environment, with the ability to access and utilize relevant nursing workflows. Demonstrated ability to accurately complete interRAI Long Term Care Facility (LTCF) assessments at required intervals while maintaining competency and adherence to best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the Continuing Care Health Services Standards (CCHSS) for Continuing Care, with a commitment to maintaining required education and ensuring care delivery aligns with established standards. Experience working in rural healthcare settings.
