Speech Language Pathology Therapy Assistant

St. Paul Education invites applications from qualified individuals for the full-time (1.0 FTE) Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position for the 2026-2027 school year.

The SLPA will provide effective Speech and Language Therapy services to students in our schools by working collaboratively with the Inclusive Education team, educational staff, and families. Reporting to the Director of Inclusive Education and Early Learning and working under the direction of the Speech Language Pathologist, the SLPA will support and promote the success of all students as part of a multidisciplinary team across the school division.

Preference will be given to applicants who possess:

  • Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program.
  • Knowledge of speech and language milestones for children.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with technology.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience working as a multi-disciplinary therapy assistant is an asset.

Duties of the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant will include:

  • Provide universal, targeted, and individualized support and services under the direction of the Speech Language Pathologist
  • Collaborate with other members of the Inclusive Education Student Supports team.
  • Administer screening protocols, including hearing screenings selected by the supervising SLP.
  • Facilitate small group and individual services to students in schools.
