Nursing Informatics Specialist (AI Training)

About The Role

Your clinical experience is more valuable than you think — beyond the bedside. We're looking for Nursing Informatics Specialists to help train and evaluate AI systems designed for healthcare environments. You'll bring real-world nursing knowledge to the table, ensuring AI understands clinical workflows, EHR documentation, and patient care the way nurses actually experience them.

This is a unique opportunity to step into the world of cutting-edge AI development without leaving your professional roots behind.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated content related to clinical workflows, EHR documentation, and nursing informatics for accuracy and real-world applicability
  • Translate frontline nursing knowledge into structured feedback that improves how AI models understand and represent healthcare processes
  • Identify gaps, errors, or unrealistic outputs in AI-generated clinical scenarios and suggest improvements
  • Assess the quality of AI responses related to health information systems, patient data management, and care documentation
  • Provide detailed, structured annotations and evaluations using clear guidelines
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical background with hands-on experience in healthcare settings
  • Familiar with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms
  • Experience with clinical informatics, health IT, or documentation workflow improvement
  • Strong analytical skills — able to spot inconsistencies and communicate feedback clearly
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a remote, self-directed environment
  • No prior AI experience required — your clinical expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Background in nursing informatics, clinical data analysis, or health information management
  • Experience with data annotation, quality review, or evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) or clinical decision support systems
  • Advanced credentials such as ANCC Informatics Nursing Certification (RN-BC)

Why Join Us
