Sales and Enrolment Coordinator, Executive Education, Edwards School of Business

Primary Purpose

The Executive Education unit of Edwards School of Business is focused on providing market relevant non-degree programs for business executives and other professionals. These programs consist of both customized programs for organizations and public workshops in a variety of business disciplines. This unit provides lifelong learning experiences for working professionals and serves to increase the connection between the business community and the school.

Nature of Work

Reporting to the Client Development Lead, this position will be responsible for driving enrolment through proactive sales efforts, including cold calling, lead generation, and relationship building. This role is focused on increasing program registrations and expanding market reach. You will engage with prospective learners, understand their educational needs, and provide solutions that help them achieve their learning goals. Secondary to sales, the representative will manage the registration system, handling client payments and accounts receivables, ensuring a seamless enrolment experience. The ideal candidate will excel in sales, possess strong communication skills, and efficiently manage registration processes. A passion for sales and a commitment to delivering a welcoming experience to students and visitors is essential.

Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as there will be some early mornings, evening and weekend commitments. This position may require occasional travel to attend industry events.

Accountabilities

Sales and Outreach

  • Identify and engage prospective adult learners via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Identify and target prospective participants through lead generation activities.
  • Maintain a high volume of outbound calls achieve sales targets while promoting executive education programs.
  • Follow up and qualify leads generated by marketing campaigns and through College contacts.
  • Represent Edwards Executive Education at industry events, trade shows, and other networking opportunities.
  • Utilize knowledge of external grants or training subsidies to recommend funding options to clients.
  • Continuously monitor and nurture the client database, re-engaging past clients.
  • Conduct informational sessions and program demonstrations to potential learners.
  • Track and report sales activities and progress.
  • Support the Manager and marketing team on promotional strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of sales initiatives.

Registration

  • Build programs and events in the online registration system on a quarterly basis, including both public and custom programs.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and timely updates in the registration system.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring accurate billing for all program participants.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivables, following up on outstanding payments.
  • Prepare and reconcile accounts receivable reports regularly.
  • Generate and retrieve reports from the registration system as requested by the sales and operations teams, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery of information.
  • Ensure compliance with university financial policies and procedures.
  • Recognize, review, and correct registration anomalies or refer to the Manager as required.

Customer Service

  • Respond promptly and accurately to learner inquiries.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to potential and existing participants.
  • Follow up on leads and inquiries to nurture relationships and drive conversions.
  • Assist learners in the enrolment process and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Resolve learner issues and concerns with a focus on satisfaction and retention.
  • Follow up with learners to ensure their educational needs were met and to foster long-term relationships.

Q ualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Commerce or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience

1-3 years of sales experience, ideally in education or a related industry, with a focus on customer relationship management.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using client relation management and registration systems.
  • Effective analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and make discretionary decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher) and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly approach under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: The salary range, based on 1.0 FTE, is $53,091.00 - 82,954.00 per annum. The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
