Principal Clinical Scientist (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your career-long expertise in clinical trial design and regulatory science could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about clinical evidence? We're looking for a Principal Clinical Scientist to bring senior-level rigor to frontier AI research — ensuring the models influencing biomedical science are grounded in real-world regulatory standards.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced clinical scientists who want to contribute to something genuinely new. No AI background required — just deep command of clinical trial methodology and regulatory data interpretation.
- Organization: Alignerr

What You'll Do
- Design and review clinical trial protocols used to generate high-quality, regulator-ready datasets for AI training
- Interpret and audit clinical trial results for accuracy, consistency, and regulatory relevance
- Evaluate AI-generated clinical analyses for scientific soundness and alignment with regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA, or equivalent)
- Provide expert feedback that directly shapes how AI models reason about clinical trial data, outcomes, and methodology
- Help define standards for how cutting-edge AI systems engage with biomedical and clinical research evidence
Who You Are
- Senior clinical scientist with hands-on experience designing protocols for regulatory submission
- Deep expertise interpreting clinical data for regulatory agencies such as FDA, EMA, or equivalent bodies
- Strong command of clinical research methodology, biostatistics, or translational science
- Naturally rigorous — you hold your work to the standard that real submissions demand
- Detail-oriented and able to clearly communicate complex scientific reasoning in writing
- Comfortable working independently and asynchronously
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
- Background in pharmacology, epidemiology, or health technology assessment
- Familiarity with AI tools or data-driven research platforms
Why Join Us
