Remote Scoop Operator and Truck Driver

REDPATH MINING

Project: Eastwood Development

Location: IAMGOLD at the Westwood Mine

Rotation: 7 day on, 7 day off or 5-4 4-5

Shift Length: 11.5 or 12 hours per day

Allowance: Will be provided based on location

Travel: Will be provided based on location

Job Summarys

Scoop Operator

The primary role of the remote scoop operator is to safely operate an LHD equipment. Mucking underground ore/waste material; Loading haulage trucks

Work Experience

  • 2 years + years' experience operating a remote scoop tram in an underground environment

Underground Truck Operator

The primary role of the Truck Driver is to haul and dump broken ore and waste from development or production headings with a 30T truck

Work Experience

  • 2 + years' experience as an underground Equipment Operator or miner

RESPONSIBILITIES

General

  • Meet the daily productive goals required for the job;
  • Must be able to perform preoperational inspections on equipment and operate in an efficient and safe manner; and
  • All other duties, as assigned

Health And Safety

  • Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Following Redpath Canada Limited health and safety standards and systems, including the Five Point Safety System and the Cardinal Rules, and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions
  • Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment required in the performance of the work.
  • Must have knowledge of the WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet.
  • Comply with the Act and Mining Regulations that apply to the work area.
