Description: Northview's Pest Control Technicians are responsible for the inspection, prevention, monitoring, and treatment of pest activity across a portfolio of residential properties. Through effective pest management practices, they help maintain safe, healthy living environments for residents while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and company standards. Working closely with Property Managers, Maintenance teams, and residents, Pest Control Technicians identify pest concerns, implement treatment plans, monitor compliance, and provide education on prevention and mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of residential units, common areas, and property grounds for pest activity.
- Identify pest concerns and implement treatment plans for pests.
- Apply pesticides, rodenticides, and other approved pest control products in accordance with applicable legislation, regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies
- Install, monitor, and maintain traps, bait stations, and other pest control devices
- Conduct follow-up inspections and treatments to ensure effective pest management
- Educate residents on treatment preparation requirements and pest prevention practices
- Coordinate unit access and treatment schedules with residents and site teams
- Partner with Property Management and Maintenance teams to identify and address conditions contributing to pest activity
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, pesticide applications, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and other required documentation
- Provide monthly reports to Property Management teams
- Safely handle, store, transport, and dispose of pesticides and related materials
- Follow established health and safety procedures and report incidents or concerns
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Alberta Pesticide Applicator Certification
- Pest control experience in residential and/or multi-family properties an asset
- Experience treating bed bugs, rodents, and common residential pests
- Knowledge of preventative pest management practices and pest identification techniques
- Ability to maintain detailed records and documentation
- Proficiency with mobile devices and Microsoft Office applications
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and acceptable driver's abstract
Requirements
- Ability to travel regularly between properties
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Availability to respond to urgent pest-related issues outside regular business hours when required
- Successful completion of a criminal record check
