The primary purpose of the position is ensuring the kitchen is clean, well maintained and always organized. The Kitchen Steward will maintain a proper level of clean inventory with a high standard of cleanliness according to the sanitation code. The Kitchen Steward, upon demonstrated job performance excellence, will be considered for numerous growth opportunities. The Kitchen Steward is responsible for assisting with receiving and putting away orders.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Adhere to all sanitation guidelines;

Assist the Cooks and Servers as necessary;
Dispose of waste;
Ensure all items are clean according to sanitation guidelines;
Maintain a clean and organized work area;
Monitor proper temperatures and chemical levels of dish machine and understand manual dishwashing systems;
Record all breakage;
Assist the buffet or line areas with required food prep duties;
Clean and organize all storage areas; including assisting with receiving.
Sweep and mop storage area floors;
Label and identify product as required;
Report damaged or equipment needing repair to supervisors
